SPIRIT OF DENVER
Come join us for Denver’s first Cemetery Comedy Show. Discover the influential women of Denver’s past and future with a guided nightly stroll through Fairmount Cemetery, and a dark comedy show in the beautiful Ivy Chapel. This experience brings a whole new meaning to underground comedy, so come enjoy the Spirit of Denver.
Starts August 3rd and will be offered the first Thursday, Friday, and Sunday of the month.
Starts at the Ivy Chapel at Fairmount Cemetery
From here we take a guided stroll of the grounds, and discover the history and mysteries of Denver’s most important ladies.
Take a Walk into the Past
And explore the beauty within Fairmount Cemetery with a historic tour of Denver’s oldest burial grounds; sharing the stories that didn’t make into the history books. So many milestones of Colorado’s diverse history are represented at Fairmount: the earliest settlers, Veterans, leaders of industry, Civil Rights pioneers, early educators and many more; at every turn the past surrounds you. Both sites are home to collections of unique art and architecture; impressive examples can be seen in many styles: Victorian, Greek Revival, Gothic, Neo-classical, Egyptian and Exotic Revival. The Fairmount Community Mausoleum is home to the largest collection of stained glass windows in Colorado and Riverside has the largest know collection of zinc monuments in North America.
